X100 Card not initialized...

X100

So, today I had this shot I wanted to take. Just walking out of the train I see this sunlight through the bridge and think "wow I need to take this shot". I walk over, turn the camera on and it stalls for 10 seconds. Im desperately pressing on the shutter button... no shot but the screen displays in big writing CARD NOT INITIALIZED... WTF.. I power the camera off, then back on.. still the same, I try to take the pic.. no. Off... On.. same shit... I press Menu Format card... ok... Finally I can take a photo. Should it really be such hassle to take a simple photograph of something I find attractive? Only one for today, the rest are stuck on the iPad.

Maybe it's a british thing to stand in doorways to have your beer rather than enjoy all the empty space... Lunch at Lincolns Inn and London Pride ale at Blackfriars

Well today was a great day out to a national trust site and again a good opportunity to use the GXR . This time I only used the 28mm Biogon. Playing around with the settings I found that focussing using the black and White high pass actually works better than using the colour image. Also the standard settings for the jpeg are too soft.
Also this is my attempt number 2 at using the iPad to update my blog

Today I was not working so I decided to go to Camera cafe check out what M lenses they had. I quite likes the Zeiss 28mm f2.8 so I bought it. After that I just wandered around, stopped for coffee and had beers in the evening. I'm very happy with the 28mm, it's really my favorite focal length and will go very well with the 35f2.

Fuji X100

iphone4

Today was the last day at work in the gherkin. I left the GXR at home today to use just the X100. I need to give this camera another chance to be great before putting it on eBay. Got to give it to Fuji though, the X100 looks great.

Second day in Avery hill park

Spent most of the day selling legacy kit on Ebay but still had time for a stroll in the park.
My kit now, excluding the X100 which I'm still debating selling or not is as follows:

These are my first pic from what I hope to make a daily blog using only my new GXR Mount and any lens obtain on the way. So far I only have a Voigtlander 21mm f4 and a Zeiss Biogon 35mmf2.0 to play around with.
